The Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Editions are both available for you to buy in the Google Play Store, offering you the chance to experience vanilla Android on two of the best smartphones out there.

You may remember that the Google Play Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been announced at this year’s Google I/O event, a month and a half ago, with the same edition of the HTC One coming not too much later. The great thing about these phones is that, while keeping the same outstanding hardware (nobody can deny that they are two of the best Android handsets on the market, if not the best), they’re offering a pure, unaltered, Android experience.

So, you’re able to use vanilla Android, without all of the manufacturer-added software (or clutter, some might say), on one of the best devices out there, without the need to install a custom ROM for that.

But let’s skip to prices, shall we? Both devices are already available in the Google Play Store – the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition costs $649 and Google says that it will ship by July 9, while the HTC One Google Play Edition can be yours for $599, with the same promised shipping date.

However, if you still want the HTC One’s Sense interface experience, but want to stand out from the crowd, know that HTC is offering a “glamor red” edition of the device. For starters, it will only be available at UK retailer Phones4U, but it can be assumed that it should be available in other parts of the world soon enough.
